Leif Stävmo
Leif was active in the Swedish National Team for 10 years between 1972 and 1982 and competed in all major disciplines in fly- accuracy, and also single and double handed distance casting. He won several overall world Titles in 1-5 and 1-8 events- a combination of spin and fly disciplines and both accuracy and distance. In the World Championships Individual, he won 6 Gold Medals, including Single Hand Fly Distance and Combination (accuracy and distance, where he also held the world record), 9 Silver Medals, and 3 Bronze Medals. This, combined with several medals in the European Championships, countless Swedish Championships medals, and International Casting Tournament medals, makes Leif a well-decorated casting guru who we’re honored to have as one of the driving forces behind Guideline rods and products.
