Tactical features a distinct and precise action that gradually unleashes when you load the rods more and more. The action is best described as fast, ¾ deep, with superb stability, suitable for all levels of fly casters. Model info
9' ROD MODELS: The 9ft rods are superlight fly rods for those who prefer this classical length, providing a true lightweight feeling for the recommended line weight. Incredibly versatile and less affected by wind, they have a faster action than the 9'9 rods. The rods in #2-#3 in the 9ft range are true dry fly and nymphing rods for the most delicate fishing with the finest tippets. The #4 and #5 are go-to rods for all-around dry and nymphing in all types of waters. These rods exhibit equally good performance on short and long distances with all types of casts. The #6 wt rod is for those who seek more wind-exposed areas and want a rod to manage streamers well too. The #7wt is there to handle those chunky articulated streamers with heavy sinking lines.

9'9" ROD MODELS: The 9'9ft rods represent our new approach to a state-of-the-art combo rod for dry fly, nymph, euro nymphing, and lighter streamer fishing. Thanks to advanced blank technology, the 9'9 rods are extremely user-friendly, with very low swing weight for the length/weight, crisp and modern action, and capability of shaping tight, accurate loops. The added length offers a longer reach on the water and better contact and control during the drift. Compared with the 9ft rods, these enable better control of the cast's height, clearing bushes and high banks behind you. They also provide more time for performing aerial mends and curve casts during the presentation phase. When fishing from a belly boat or wading deep, the 9'9 rods give you additional height during casting. The 9’9 #2 and #3 models are crisp and precise tools for delicate work with dry flies and light nymphs, with tip sections balanced to cushion the finest of tippets. The #4- and #5-weight rods are super all-around and equally versatile for rivers, lakes, or tarns. While being a perfect match with dries and nymphs, they also perform excellently with lake rigs or smaller streamers.

10' ROD MODELS: The LPX Tactical 10 ft rods are available in two models - line weights #6 and #7. These rods are designed for boat-style fishing with fly rigs, a tradition in lakes and reservoirs in Ireland and other areas of the UK. They have a powerful action that supports casting and sweep-style fishing with long leaders and multiple flies. The 10ft length also provides some extra height of the line when casting while sitting in a boat or wading deep.
Technology
C.A.P M4.0™ gives spectacular performance with flawless recovery and unique precision. C.A.P Technology features a Complex Axial Pattern (CAP) paired with unidirectional carbon fiber layups. In CAP, layers of carbon fibers are placed in varying angles to each other to maximize strength and stability in all directions. In a unidirectional non-woven carbon pattern, all fibres run in a single, parallel direction ensuring maximum strength lengthwise.

M4.0 ™ is the resin we use in this type of blank construction. The properties of this resin fill the gaps in the carbon cloth more effective than normal resins and has greater strength. It also decreases the overall need for resin in blank construction. Resulting in lighter rods than ever before.

A rare blend of casting-and-fishing properties

LPX Tactical offers a rare blend of casting and fishing properties. These rods are designed to protect the lightest tippets. Still, they are superb casting tools for anglers at all levels. The distinct and very precise action gradually unleashes when you load the rods more and more.

Handles & Reelseats

Our LPX Tactical rods are designed for a broad range of applications, and therefore the series offers different handle & reel seat configurations. The 9' #7 are fitted with a full wells cork handle and a reinforced cork butt. All models in the 9'9" length have a half wells grip with a micro cork butt, while the 9' model have a classic reel seat with no butt.

Eco Features

The LPX Series is a result of years spent on research and sourcing to achieve a greener flyrod, from both the components to the production. We have significally reduced the amount of dangerous chemicals. For example by using low VOC epoxies for assembly and rod coating. The rods are made using our GL ECO-Tech™ production technique where we avoid grinding the blanks, which normally produces harmful dust at the production facility.

It also gives you the structured surface finish on the rod, with added strength as a result. The stripping guides are made out of titanium, and for the single leg guides, we use a gun smoke powder coat finish on a stainless frame instead of chrome plating, to get rid of lead. The rod tubes have a lower diameter and are made with PP (Polypropylene) and recycled polyester tube fabric. The same fabric is used as well for the rod bag.

Since 1993, knowledge and passion have been reflected in each of our products. We are dedicated to meet the high expectations of the modern fly angler with lesser impact on nature, while giving rise to everlasting moments by the water.

Because, at the end of the day, It’s all about the experience.
