Herring colored patterns have fooled countless salmon over the years. This is a fly that works very well all season, and so does this variant of flashwing. The two largest flashwings are very suitable for clear meltwater early in the season, and those in size Medium and Small are very suitable throughout the season when the weather is clear, both for salmon in the ponds and salmon on their way up the river.

The hot orange flashwing is designed for typical flood conditions. When the river is brown from the rainwater or icy cold from melting snow, this is a favorite!
