The Guideline Scandi fly reels are precision-engineered for modern migratory fly fishing, featuring high-torque titanium drag systems, deep large-arbor spools, and ultra-smooth braking performance. Designed in Scandinavia and built for power, balance, and control in every fight, the Scandi range of fly reels is available in four different models that cover most types of migratory fishing — from single-hand rods in line weights #6–8, to switch and heavy double-hand rods rated for lines #11–13.
The Scandi #68 model balances single-hand rods perfectly, as well as lighter 10´-11´ switch rods, like our ULS 2.0.
The Scandi #79 is the natural choice for switch rods in #7 to #9 weights and is a perfect match for double-hand rods in #8/9 line weights.
The Scandi #911 works great with a large range of double-hand rods, covering from #8/9 to #10/11. It is the perfect fit for 13-14 #9/10 rods!
The Scandi #11+ is the reel for the big double-handers in 15-16 feet length, and line weights #10/11 and #11/12. It balances these beautifully.

This combination ensures consistent drag pressure and a smooth, reliable operation throughout intense battles. The system features an expanded range of preset drag settings, allowing for precise adjustments to match various fishing conditions. This enhanced sensitivity helps prevent sudden tension surges during critical moments of the fight.
To maintain structural integrity under high torque, we've implemented a triple-stabilized core that eliminates axial and radial run-out. Pre-loaded, press-fit bearings guarantee seamless alignment between spool and frame, preventing deflection and ensuring optimal performance. Twelve stainless steel compression springs engage the titanium and carbon components, providing a sealed, consistent drag system capable of handling extreme torque levels.
H-Ti3™ - This 3-disc High-Torque Titanium system delivers 7.5kg/16.5lb of pull-force on the #68 and #79 reels. Perfectly optimised for Single-Hand Spey and Ultra-Light Scandi rods. The total disc stack contains 3 Titanium discs + 2 Carbon friction plates.
H-Ti5™ - This 5-disc High-Torque Titanium system delivers 10kg/22lb of pull-force on the #911 and #11+ reels. Perfectly optimised for modern Light-Scandi and Heavyweight-Scandi rods. The total disc stack contains 5 Titanium discs + 4 Carbon friction plates.
