The perfect way to carry your landing net is to mount a magnetic net release at the top of the net frame, and attach the other part of the magnet to the neck D-ring on your jacket. If you're wearing a backpack while fishing, simply attach the magnet to the top carrying handle of the pack. Next, clip one of the Net Leash’s carabiners to the handle loop of your net, run the cord along your side, and clip the second carabiner to a belt loop or directly around your wading belt. Be sure to place the Net Leash cord on the correct side: if you net with your left hand, the cord should also be on your left side.
When fishing in fast currents or navigating slippery riverbeds, a wading staff is an invaluable piece of equipment. The Net Leash is the perfect accessory to keep your staff secure and always within reach. Attach one carabiner to the D-ring at the top of the staff, and the other to your wader braces or belt. If you're right-handed and hold your rod in your right hand, mount the leash on your left side. This setup allows you to wade safely without having to switch hands or interrupt your fishing.
From our own hard earned experience we know that there are a pretty large amount of landing nets that are lost, and now sitting on the bottom of lakes and reservoars across Europe and Scandinavia. But there is an easy solution to this problem, simply attach a Net Leash between your nets handle loop and a D-ring on your float tube or rail on our boat. The 140 cm range of the leash will let you use the net without any restrictions.
