Copper John is John Barr's pattern that was developed between 1993 and 1996. The pattern is well weighted with a body of copper wire in various colors and has a traditional copper gold head.
This is a general nymph pattern that can imitate dayflies and stoneflies, or simply just a good attractor fly. The epoxy topped wing case has Mirage tinsel underneath for added attraction and to mimic a nymph ready to hatch.
