This sparsely dressed ant is perfect for the summer- and early fall season. There is a variety of different ants flying from July and well into September. This fly with its orange indicator is easy see on the water and the other attributes tick all the boxes for picky trout’s. The lifelike abdomen makes the fly float deep into the surface which makes it easy for the fish to spot. Cdc wings and hackle keep it floating. This fly is a must have for those humid late summer days. And, it’s also a really good attractor pattern for fish that hangs along the banks of both rivers and lakes. Feeding on terrestrials that occasionally fall down from the trees.
