Originally this fly was designed to imitate an adult Caddis by Staffan Lindstrøm. This fly always lands- and sit correct on the water, you can use gel floatants such as TMC Dry Magic or our CDC Gel.
The fly has black body, white wing and the hackle is grizzly dyed dun. Imitations of midges are normally fished without drag, this fly imitate an adult sitting/resting at the surface. This fly floats well enough to be used in a dry & dropper rig. Add for example 50cm of tippet to the bend and put a buzzer in the end. The white wing is very visible and stand fast to strike when it disappear!
