The Liquid floatant is designed to make a barrier that keeps moisture out. It works well on flies tied with all types of materials (including CDC). It contains no organic solvents, is 100% solids, and is environmentally friendly.

This is our favored product for any flies with a CDC body, wings or legs. Instead of blowing the excess floatant off the fly we like to attach the fly to a rubber band on the vest/pack hold the leader and let the fly bounce by tapping on the leader. This is a highly effective way to get rid of any excess dip and it makes the fly fresh and well prepared to catch. A few false casts also works effectively to remove excess moisture.
