It has been a personal favorite since the late 90´s. I got the inspiration for this pattern from flies that originally was imitation of different clam worms. These normally spawn during the warmer summer nights, and make the trout go into a frenzy of eating. The original patterns was often tied with ostrich hearl but I made the pattern more simple and used marabou feathers instead, and with that, the Killer worm was born. Obviously, its truly a great imitation of clam worms, but works just as good as a allround fly all year around. Best fished with a fast and steady figure of 8.
