Guideline Compact Scandi are a series of shorter multi tip bodies, based on the previous 4D Compact with several improvements. Developed with a new taper design and a more supple coating formula with very low memory, along with a better weight-to-length ratio.
The Compact Scandi bodies are designed for the dedicated salmon and Spey angler who desires a shorter and more aggressive line profile. The range covers everything from heavy single-hand lines to larger double-hand rods and truly excels in situations where room for a back cast is very limited. The Compact Scandi works fantastically with both short and long tips and offers a wide variety of setup options, making them very user-friendly for both experienced anglers and beginners. These shorter lines suit both Scandi and Skagit styles very well. If you are looking for a lighter version than 18 grams, be sure to check out our ULS+ lines!
Taper Design
To create an even better and more balanced series, the weight-to-length ratio has been adjusted to ensure the same feel throughout the entire range. Our compact taper design makes Spey casting super easy, extremely efficient, and a lot of fun! The weight distribution of these lines ensures that your target weight will always be in the air and behind the rod as you make your D-loop, making it much easier to perform a good cast even if the line is not perfectly aligned. The powerful taper handles all types of tips in a wide variety of densities and weights. To perfectly tailor your setup, check out our tip recommendations!

What is the difference between Compact & Classic Scandi bodies?
Compact Scandi Body
The Compact Scandi multi-tip bodies are just what their name suggests; a more condensed, compact and shorter shooting head. They excel in places where there are less room for casting behind your back, and are very easy to manage for anglers that just started their fly fishing journey. The Compact Scandi lines are available in lighter weights compared to the Classic Scandi, and therefor also suitable for switch rods and even heavy single hand rods.
Classic Scandi Body
The Classic Scandi is the true double hand multi-tip shooting head designed for big rods, large rivers and strong fish. As they are longer than the Compact they have a very steady flight and can deliver really long casts with little effort. With their added length and weigh they can handle a wide arrange of tips of all different densities, even the most fast sinking versions.
The Scandi tips to rule them all
No matter if you choose a Compact Scandi or Classic Scandi multi-tip body, rest assured that there is a Scandi Tip that will make it possible to build your true dream line. The tips are available in a big range of models, from a light 10ft / 4g - Float up to a long and heavy 18ft 13g - Sink 5/Sink 7.
The extensive range of Guideline Scandi Tips covers everything from light single-hand rods to the big heavy double-handers, designed to perfectly match our multi-tip bodies. Multi-tip lines are the perfect choice for all types of salmon and migratory fishing as well as trout spey.
Compline PRO™ is a the next generation of shooting lines. With an extremely low memory, together with low stretch and smooth feeling, this our most supple monofilament shooting line ever.
The Power Strike PRO 12’ Salmon Leaders feature a superb taper that allows you to fish them as-is with sinking tips, or to add a tippet when using floating lines. The leader turns over large tube flies with ease while maintaining excellent presentation.
The new Classic Scandi body is definitely our most “easy to cast” multi tip shooting head so far. With a perfect mix of lengths, weights and densities you will cover any situation you might face by the river.
Guideline Compact Scandi are a series of shorter multi tip bodies, based on the previous 4D Compact with several improvements. Developed with a new taper design and a more supple coating formula with very low memory, along with a better weight-to-length ratio.
Guideline TSL+ represents the evolution of tapered shooting lines, optimized for modern fly casting. Built on a low-stretch core for enhanced sensitivity and hook-setting power, the line features a slick, durable coating that minimizes friction through guides. Its 5-meter front taper increases overhang rigidity and line control, while the thin diameter-to-strength ratio ensures superior shootability.
